Does anyone have any experience with this boot? IM looking at it to be my all around boot. Ive been fitted for a bunch of boots including FTs which fit fine but i like the specs and price on the shogunand it apparently has the same last width as FTs. I just kinda want some experiences and opinions before I drive an hour and a half to try one on.
The Shogun boot is great for narrower, lower volume feet so if you dig the way a FT feels, chances are you will like the Shogun. One major difference (besides the obvious) is the actual stance of the boot. It uses less ramp angle heel to toe (so your foot is more level) and a more upright forward lean all while maintaining a rather traditional leg to foot angle. This makes for a super responsive and overall better balanced boot for a lot of today's skiing styles. Super intelligent design that you'll see a lot of brands utilize in next year's boot offerings.
I got them super cheap at the beginning of the season from a Salomon rep, and they are awesome. Very comfy, warm, and a great fit for my very narrow foot. I ride almost 100% park, and they're great for it. A little stiff, but no shin bang whatsoever.
