One Life Surface skis in the park

I am 5'11 180lbs and I was given a pair of One Life Surface skis in a 189. I know they are powder skis but I want to be able to cruise through the park with them and hit backcountry booters too. Will the 189s be that much different than the 179s in the park and in the air? I hear they are super nimble and have less swing weight. I just want to make sure I get the right size before I mount them.

im basically the same size as you and i have the 179s and they feel so short with the rocker. definitely go with the 189s. park is so fun on them. some next level butters.

at 180lbs 179s will be too short. The difference from 179 to 189 is 10cm of cambered section, so it's about 89cm vs 99cm. Theres some old threads talking about how fun LL2s are in the park, and One Lifes are the improved LL2 with some camber now(they look much better in peron than LL2s, which also looked good). 189s will ski short wherever you want..

I would get the 189s. you'll get used to it if it feels funky at first, but I'm sure it will be fine. the rocker takes away from huge sticks feeling huge.

definitely a sick ski anywhere on the mountain. 189's would be your best choice. Some kids up at tremblant have been shredding the park in them and I'm about to pick up a pair myself

Sounds like the 189s are the way to go. So spinning them is not going feel much different from the 179s?
