There is no evidence but we did hear this directly from the owner of Radio that Paris bought a XXL Grey Mojave, and further rumors said she was rockin it around the pool...bathrobe style for sure.
All of us at Jiberish are of course generally stoked that she picked out something we made and wanted to buy it. Someone else mentioned this before but, she will probably leave it in her hotel room after her stay. We will still take the purchase as a compliment.
This in no way changes anything for us, we are still a small company in a small industry. Maybe little things like this will help expose our product to more people and in turn our sport to a larger market. If someone learns more about our sport by watching vids of our athletes on our site, that is huge...we want people's first exposure to our sport through riders like Delorme, Brogan, Wallisch, etc.
Every year as we grow we take steps to make sure that you guys don't see someone else in your area wearing the same piece. Many of our pieces we only make 60-100 for the entire WORLD. You might see the same hoodie in an edit on NS but it could be someone from Norway, so you probably won't bump into them on the hill or on the street. That is not a good plan for making any money as a business, but that is not the immediate goal right now. Yes, the bulk of our sales are to our industry but as we grow we will continue to make a larger variety of pieces and wider range of options. The more our limited product is spread outside of our industry, the more opportunity we have to dedicate a part of our line for only the dopest snowsports shops and more limited stuff for just our industry. Additionally, this helps us put money back into the industry through more resources for additional athletes, edits, events, movies, afterparties, etc.
We always take the pulse of how people talk about us...and haters are always going to hate, but that fuels us too. We will continue to push the creative envelope and to maintain our relationship with our loyal supporters. That, I promise you, we will never lose sight of.
In other news....when the fuck is it going to start snowing again in Colorado???
