So I took my skis to a local shop a few weeks ago to get mounted with my FKS's. On the toe piece there is the front screw that gets mounted in first and then the binding is put on it, pulled back, and locked in and the final two back screws are drilled. Well the shop didn't pull the binding back all the way when they went to drill the back two screws so now the back holes aren't lined up with the front screw. The binding lays even with the ski but when i pick up the ski by the front of the toe piece it creates a gap about a 1/2 inch wide between the ski and the binding.
They mounted both the skis like this and the tech guy at my mountain said its just a matter of time before the toe pieces rip out completely. This is the second time the skis have been mounted and theres not really any way I can get a remount unless its a ways back from center, which I wouldn't want to do since they're strictly my park ski, so basically the skis are shot for what I want to use them for.
I'm so pissed because if these break I won't have any other skis for the rest of the season. I plan on contacting the shop immediately but what should I say when I do talk to them? What is the shop required to do about it or do they even have to do anything? What is the best way to go about dealing with this to ensure that I can have some skis to ride for the rest of the season?
