You are spot on on your choice. Nothing will get you better quality video for the same price.. it's not for nothing that everyone claim it's the most-bought consumer HD camera in it's category. GO FOR IT.
By the way, JUST got mine in the mail... incredible. But make sure your computer can support the weight of editing videos from that camera.
