hullo i bought salomon threats at the beggining of the seasons. i have skied them about 14 times and the tip have just started cracking and the edges popped off of the sides. not good skis do not buy. Also i just bought K2 EXT and i was wondering if anyone had ths ski and how they liked it.

threats are a beginner ski, and with salomon's reputation for edges on last years suspects... just a bad decision on your part. hope they got warrantied or a refund from your shop.
EXT's are like a pricepoint variation of the extreme. and i think similar to the silencer's. should do pretty well in park and on the rest of the mountain.

my friend has salomon threats, same thing happened to him. he got another pair under warranty and guess what, it happened again. just not a good ski in general, although i guess its ok for beginners.

This is the unfortunate reality of buying a Price Point ski. They are designed as a light duty version of other skis in the line up, and are really intended for entry level skiers to get them onto a brands product. They are not meant to take the regular abuse. Its very much a case of "Get what you pay for"

well that is your own fault, as MacMahoon said you get what you pay for, you can't blame a cheap ski for falling apart on you
