From what I've heard ATC is one hell of a stressful job. The alchoholism and divorce rates among controllers is super high. But props to you, I got mad respect for those guys in the tower.

Radiologist. you can ski all day and when you get a page you can check it on your computer(or phone if it has internet) and tell what kind of break it is and what they need to fix it. pretty legit job. That is what i am planning to do.

I'm living in LA right now trying to work as an actor. You got to just figure out what you really love and go after it man. Don't let people tell you what you should or shouldn't do, its your life chase after your dreams. Nothing great has ever been accomplished without a huge dream behind it.

I don't know that much about em to be honest. But I think there are both pilots and ground forces in AF sops. They do air drops behind enemy lines and stuff but it also carries out air attacks too I think

im pretty sure that af special operations doesn't fly F-rated aircract.  they do have some drones, but they support para-infantry/para-rescue/para-recon.  its still badass though

I studied engineering for three years in college and then switched and got a finance degree. Some engineering problems will blow your mind.  Many classes the class average is well under 50%. My last calculus class I took, the final was 4 questions and took me over three and a half hours. It is hard and will take a lot of work/studding to get an engineering degree.  Investment/stock analysis really does not take much math.  It takes some statics and algebra but once you get further into class you really only do stuff in excel.  I work as a food and beverage purchaser for Mammoth Mountain.  I got hired because of my experience with excel from my finance classes. I really do not know where i will go from here but i hope at the end of the season i will get promoted to a salaried position.

they have some real legit specops though. i was thinking of going into the AF as a pararescueman, going in for downed pilots. it's just an enlisted job though, but you get your EMT license. i'm choosing to do rotc instead.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a minor in environmental conservation and alternative energy.

I'm going to hopefully be working on making computer maps solving social problems in energy and sustainability.

You thinking about going to a trade school?

I wanted to go into welding or in general just fabrication. I want to do something automotive such as roll cage and suspension design. (Aftermarket of course) for custom cars and trucks. If i cant do that then i'd like to do something aeronautical related. I'm taking Mechanical Engineering so i can cover both.

Yeah that would be an absolutely crazy job. I'm probably transferring and going into rotc too next year as a sophomore. Should be pretty cool I'll work my ass off and hopefully I'll be able to get a pilot slot that's my main goal

Pilot or Talent Agent.
Pilot = good money and you get to travel alot. + whenever im talking to an older dude on the ski lift they are 99.9% of the times a Pilot and they always have sweet stories.
Talent Agent just watch Entourage. Its not all that accurate but you get the basic gist.

i wouldnt put too much time into roll cages... theyre pretty easy to make, and everyone that needs one builds there own.

Be a nurse.
- you work shift work, maximizing skiing powder days, skiing time, and minimizing weekend lift lines.
- your union, you get benefits, vacation, sick time, medical.
- you can work and live in any place you like.
- opportunity for specialization and further education.
- job security .... What recession?
-  its considered to be one of the most trusted professions.

 and the guy to girl ratio......  1:10....  school is a blast.

All I can say is, good fucking luck with qualifying for spec ops.

Any law violations, drug use, physical ailment (especially eyes and hearing), will instantly disqualify you from spec ops and most likely the Air Force in general.  That being said, I was qualified for spec ops except for my eye sight, which they offer to fix for free.  I'd just prefer spending my time fixing F-16's and the like.

We have around 360,000 active duty troops and aren't exactly begging for more.  In contrast, the Army/ National Guard has close to 1,000,000 active duty troops.  For the most part, they'll take anyone that is physically able to walk, make simple speech, and hold a rifle.  I'm not bashing them by any means, I respect what they do for the rest of us, but it's much easier to qualify.  I saw every single Army applicant pass MEPS and only 2 of us passed the Air Force requirements.

The numbers I used were from my recruiter/liaison, so they are subject to changing, as they are typically paid to lie a bit.

I'm going to school next year for either computer networking or computer engineering. 

I just want a degree to fall back on if the whole ski bum thing doesn't work out (I don't really expect it to but w/e) and I really, really like computers and other related things so there you go. 

If you don't know what you wont to do, just go for a business degree.

^Guy speaks the truth. Met my current girlfriend of 8 months in nursing school. And, the chicks that go into nursing are 90% of the time 7-10's on a scale of 1-10. I'm almost done just one more semester and it has been great oogling at the hotties. I plan on going back to school to eventually get my NP (Nurse Practitioner)

Common myth. Pilots make shit wages. Only start rolling in the dough when you are 40 + flying for a big carrier and thats if your lucky. Especially in the States. Can't do the job for $ gotta do it cause its a passion.

My dad is constantly on my ass about what I want to do with my life and I'm only a freshman. It's ridiculous.
I've got no idea what I want to be when I grow up, the only thing I could ever see myself doing and enjoying is being a therapist for teenagers, for a few reasons;
1) I've had some shitty problems with my life, and my parents are getting divorced. And my friends have killed themselves and shit, I've always wanted to go to a therapist, never been able too though.
2) All my friends are the stereotypical 'emo' kids. And they legit have problems, and it's kind of ridiculous how shitty there lives are, when really all they need is someone to talk too, and I've seen therapy help my friends more then anything they've ever done, it's amazing and I'd love to be able to help people that much.
3) It's actually pretty good money and good hours. And can work basically anywhere in the counter.

I am nearing graduation with two degrees, accounting and finance, and am starting to look at grad schools. Either Business or Textiles. but if that falls through, I'm opening a microbrewery. fuckyeah.

My uncle is a pharmacist at Brigham and Women's in Boston and he seems to love this job. There are some weird hours, but if you can adjust your life style like he has, it seems awesome. He spends a week working (nights) down here near Boston, then he has the next whole week off and heads up to Sunday River and skis all week. With the hours he has, he's been able to head to Chile, Whistler, countless times out west like Utah and Colorado. It's hard work, but seems worth it if you really like math and science.

But for me, I'm going to be a photographer. Hopefully a food photographer.

Easy to build? Sure, Easy to build correctly? Not at all. Lots of design goes into building roll cages, you dont just wing something thats going to save your life. (Take in mind it depends on the type of cage youre building, but full cages take awhile and need alot more planning to build)

I had bumpers and other stuff in mind too, as well as some fairly innovative linked suspension.

some sort of biologist, architect, veterinarian, or business shit, commercial pilot (backup). ive gots lots of options, those are in the most likely order for them. ive got a few more years of school, then ill take a break or get a masters if i wanna go pro.
