its so hard to read the path that marijuana is going to take in this country. who knows maybe by next year california makes it legal. but personally i think were still 5-10 years away which is still much sooner than it seemed possible 10 years ago

i dont know about that, it could be closer then you think, i think once this goes down its gonna get the ball really rolling and more and more states will follow. and soon the the government will just make it fully legal every where else. parents are just now staring to release that its easer for kids to get bud then anything else and so now they want it to be like alcohol.

I feel that as well to a degree.
At the beginning of last year I was saying that it would be legal in the US in the next 10 years. I can honestly see it happening within 5. Then you have to think about all the states that are going to make it legal in the interim.

Well, this is one measure they are taking, but it is also on the ballot for a small election in 2010. knowing californians, they will probably raise huge awareness for this vote, and people mostly supporting the new laws will show up making it legal. im going to say 1-2 years tops

Well its going to be on the ballet at a referendum regardless in November, so it's really up to the people of California and not some politicians.
The only thing is that I can see the Mormons coming in again and getting a shit ton of people to vote against the referendum and ruin another good thing with their ridiculous amounts of cash.
