What skis would you like to see in Seattle area shops?

That is skis that are not already carried?

I know there are a fare number of ski companies that are not really well represented in NW shops. Throw some out there that you would like to see show up.

If they were carried locally (ie Seattle), would you buy them from the shops?

Throw some brands out there.

I personally would like to see some DPS skis in shops. I don't know if they sell through stores, or just online. But it would be cool to see them in at-least one local store.

Also don't just limit yourself to hard goods. Soft-goods and accessories are cool too.

Does evo carry jibberish?

Both options have their pros and cons, to me it just comes down to saving a little money or having the instant gratification of walking out the door with a new pair of skis.

I know that we do this (we throw a date on it)
but if I say that I think you should get xxxx ski, and you don't like it, then you can bring it back.

And on top of that, pretty much all the main manufactures have a satisfaction guarantee on their skis too.

I got some boones, I ski up at stevens if you want to check out the edge coming off at the tip. They looks super sick tho, definitely sexiest skis on the earth.

(my brother painted them and they look dope)

A warranty that would take months to figure out when I could just send it in for $7 and have my money back within a week for a new pair.

And I doubt warranty would cover skis that had been skied for awhile (I'm not talking a month like the suspects) and the damage was clearly rail damage.

In the future when I have money I would really like to support local shops (or straight from the company) especially if they have a real solid selection. I know this is taking advantage of the system, but for now I need to do it if I want to ski.

Are we talking about Sturtevants? I wouldn't buy a bottle of water there if I was dying of dehydration and they were the last place on earth that had water. They wouldn't even warranty a set of poles for me and they are contractually obligated to do so. Also nobody who works there knows jack shit and some of them are straight up assholes (some are great guys though)

As far as Evos price, they will knock off 5% of anywhere else, so with sales tax you're only paying 4.5% more at Evo than at Backcountry. MABY they will match it with tax included or something. Both have incredibly good service, but Evo also has a shop you can use for boot molding and stuff.

Evo has Moment and Surface this year, and on Monday they had Moments in the shop(I saw Comis and Bibbys and at least a few others) but I didn't see the Surfaces(might have just missed them, I wasn't paying much attention).

I'd agree with DPS, they would sell pretty well, especially the new $800 hybrids. Paying $100 more than Hellbent price is way more than worth it to get DPS(unless you want a pow jib ski..).
CoreUpt could be good, but lets wait for multiple on snow reviews.

I keep my Caylors at the shop I work at just so when people come in to talk skis I can show them my babies and turn them on to the website. Probably not a good career move on my part but you have to support the little guys. Instead of skis, I'd like to see more technical goods like aftermarket liners, functional base layers, and a larger supply of google lens choices. Some shops are going a pretty good job but most are suspect. Also, how about more training for the people who work there? I'd rather run into smart and knowledgeable people then a ski wall that wrapped around the store. IMO

REI is pretty dope too. if your a member you get 10% back on anything you buy. They also started socking better skis this year so they have some better options, not to mention that they always have a bunch of awesome backcountry gear
