at dinner tonight there was a dip made of diced avacados mixed with salsa, when trying to get my brother to try it, my dad said "you gotta try it, it's like sour cream made out of vegetables."

you are an idiot. i know a ton of teens (including myself, can't say i'm not guilty) who dick around, and some kids go to far with it. plus freeskiing is a dangerous sport for sure, its always good to have a little caution. And yea its a played term with parents and we hear it a lot, but there is definitely a reason for them to say it

I burnt an edit to dvd and went downstairs to try it on my dvd player. My mom walks in, sits down, watches a few minutes of it, then proceeds to ask, did it work? no mom of course not this is just my edit playing on tsn.? really?

Made my parents some dinner tonight...pork with sauteed apples.

Me - I'm just glad I found use for all those apples in the fridge...

Dad - Oh, that's why they were so different. I was thinking....potatoes.

But on a serious note the dumbest thing my parents have said/done was when i shattered my ankle and i was on my way to the E.R. with my mom and in some pretty serious pain, and all she could do was make up a stupid song about driving to the hospital to the tune of an ebay commercial. Probably not that stupid but the timing was dumb as fuck.

My parents were watching the dew tour. Later they told me, "did you see them do all that flipping and spinning, i like the guy in the green coat. He was the best. He was the only one to do that cool three-sixty!"

They were doing dub cork 12/10, 9s, 10s ......

My dad, "how come you don't do that stuff?"

Me, "because i am not pro ....."

My dad, "well get pro!"

I'm 15 and just started park last year. I only got 7s off jumps ....

This is after paying around $300 dollars for a tivo box and a one year subscription for my mom for Christmas.

Me:  I have to go back to college tomorow but all you have to do to finish setting this up is to go to radioshack and get an ethernet cord.

Mom:  I don't think want to deal with it.  I don't mean to criticize your gift but I'll probably just return it.

Me:  Stand there with look of disbelief while contemplating blowing the fuck up.

She would use the Tivo every day seeing as she records everything on VHS now.  Keep in mind that returning the system would involve repackaging the whole thing, shipping it, and possibly dealing with Tivo customer service, all because she thinks that anything slightly technological is completely beyond her.

i just picked up a couch frame from the second hand store to put a futon on for my bedroom and my dad was helping me brace it up because it was really rickety.

after a while he says "it seems pretty stable.. just dont have really rough sex with kim (my girlfriend) on it or anything."

i explain the situation

she shows up, says im fine, and then me and two other random guys have to argue with her that im fucked up.

i was obviously pretty damaged... its not funny, just stupid.
