Ski boots for big calves

I'm looking for some new boots, specifically park - oriented, because my old racing boots just aren't cutting it anymore. Can't take the shinbang and toebang and general uncomfortableness. I went shopping for some boots but I supposedly have large calves. Are there certain brands or boots that will work for me or is there anything i could do? Thanks for your help.

my friends has the biggest calfs known to man/claim. He is using SPK pro models and loves them

ive got a relatively narrow foot but just large calves...and like 500 bucks to spend from saving and the holidays...i would love full tilts but i dont have a store nearby that sells them..

Same... I have a friend that has pretty big calves and he rides SPK's and loves them. I would recomend trying stuff on before buying though.

There are a lot of things that can be done to a boot to enlarge the boot upper to accomadate larger calves.  Best is to find a good bootfitter in your area, without proper measuring, and a foot examination, to determine shell shape and such it is hard to state what will work best for you.

i tried on some spk's today and i dont think they worked....the fitter said they werent good for me...and im not sure of my circumference, but the largest point in like diamater is around 4.5 inches, but idn if that helps.

I have big calves. I can't ride Dalbello or Technica because of it. Lange fits me perfect, SPK has a little room to spare (but the two buckle system is horrible IMO). I think Nordica is pretty roomy in the calf region too. I've never tried FT's.

Try on some nordica hot rod's.

And choose the right flex according to your skier type and weight. I believe they come in a 75,85, and 125 flex

I rode nordicas and couldn't do up the top buckle and powerstrap tight enough because it would cut off circulation at my calf.  I guess it's an example of how you have to see what works for you personally.  I'm in Langes now and they're feeling good.

I have big calves and big ankles, and I had Dalbellos for a while, but they were fitted wrong and sucked. Then I got fitted in Full Tilts, and the only boot that fit around my calves comfortably was the booter, because it has a little thinner/softer liner. I originally wanted hotdoggers, but they didn't buckle even on the loosest that it goes which was lame.

i have big calfs as well; just measured them and i have around 4.5-5inch as well...
i ride technica diablos, not really a freestyle boot but one of the best allround boots; you can switche between soft and hard mode; soft mode makes the boot flex more than any freestyle boot i've seen...
so give it a try; maybe they'll fit ...
(also most boots have adjustable buckles; i can switch between 3holes in the shell; currently i'm riding on the middle hole, so they can be made even bigger...)
