Ideas for separating my room

so my bedroom at my dads house is just a huge open space, and my bed/dresser/everything of mine is just in half of it and my dad has other stuff in the other half (old computers, my drums, furniture, etc..).

so im tryin to come up with some ideas of how to separate my half of the room and make it a little more private and chill for when people are at my house. i was thinking about gettin some tapestries or something to hang from the ceiling and enclose my part of the room, but i cant seem to find any sick looking sheets/tapestry things to hang.

so if anyone has any other good ideas or knows where i can buy some cool hangings to block off my side of the room post them up.

frame up a wall. its not that hard. it doesnt even have to be a full wall if you dont want it.

if you are at all handy with a hammer it wont take to long. it could be a good father son project too. however anything like that usually ends up with my dad and i butting heads in the worst way.

a friend of mine once had an enormous duct tap spiderweb as a room divider.
it was kind of fucking awesome, and kind of not so awesome. at the same time.

sooooo classy...
that's kinda cool, but it has essentially no functionality...

you could always go to ikea and grab a wood hinged divider thing that you can move around. i have a random toilet in my basement and have one of those around it.

im just lookin for a cheap temporary solution that will be legit for when i have sluts in my bedroom so its a little more private.

we are building a wall in to separate the room in half in about 4 months so i just need somethin untill then.

haha and im not down for duct tape webs

I think skiminnesota's idea of just building a wall is best. Seems pretty simple.

yeah if i did that with my dad we would murder eachother.

and i also have a snapped tibia and fibula in my right leg so building a wall might be a little tough

making frame by 2x4s
dry walling 2x4s
run electrical
mudding drywall
painting drywall
installing new carpet

sounds simple, then its the best idea.
