Yet another personal problem someone turns to nsg with

I have been thinking about asking out one of my best friends. Shes way too involved with my sis and she really doesn't show enough intrest in me cuz of that. Today shes having this conversation with her best friend about how depressed she is and wants to find that "perfect guy". she is also talking bout this party that shes gonna have and who to invite. Its this whole big pm thing that they accidentally put out on their facebook walls. Her friend tells her "i liked that kevin kid that was at ur party, i liked him". the girl i like says idk ill find some ppl to invite kinda just ignores that she mentioned my name.

We have been friends for as long as i can remember and to start a relationship would be risky as hell to have a normal friendship after. I really dont know how to come about asking out your best friend and i cant take it if i get rejected and the friendship is fucked. the whole conversation seems like her friend trying to help her get my attention. the two of them havent talked in months and now there is a big convo on facebook out in the open for everyone to see. what should i do, nut up and ask the girl out or keep the friendship and and wonder what if.

Sparknotes: wanna ask my best friend out, not really giving to many signs she likes me, dont wanna fuck up our friendship. what should i do get balls and go for it or lay low and continue to be friends.

thats a dangerous situation and i'd say don't do it.  the slightest thing could fuck your friendship, especially if she isn't giving you signs.

alright i only read the sparknotes but heres what you do in this situation-

find some other sluts, and hook up with them for a while, nothing long term obviously. it'll a) clear your mind and/or blueballs from wanting to stick your "best friend" and b) make it apparent to your "best friend" that you don't fuck around and enjoy getting with girls..so she'll think "hm maybe i should be that girl he gets with"

that soultion has worked 1 out of 1 times for me haha and i've been dating the ex "best friend" girl or whatever for like 4 months now.

also, don't "ask her out"...just like hang out get to some cuddling and let shit go from there...unless ur like in middle school idk how old you are

I think it depends.

If she's really a good friend and you're happy to see her and have her in your life. Like if you feel yourself lucky to have a frend like that and you want to stay in touch with her you're whole life, then don't do it because there will be a cold between you two after it if she says no. I think you'll still be friends but it will be different.

But if you really want to clarify thuis situation and really know her feelings, I think you should go for it. If she says yes, you'll be very happy but if she says no, there will be a cold, but it's not the end of the world, and you'll feel released.

But before taking this decision, imagine yourself with her. If it feels akward, don't do it. It really helps.

Alright, if you want this to go down, do not act like that bothers you at all and definitely dont openly hate on those guys to her. change the subject or something, dont do it obviously though. and by the way, it sounds like your either deep in the friend zone (to the point where you have become another one of her girlfriends) or she's testing you. what do you do when she tells you this?

Man honestly no girl would post that shit up on walls cuz everyone wants to see it. they are deffently doing it to get someones attention! 

Do This! Ask her to go to hang at your house or something, watch a movie make dinner or some shit. something during that time im sure will tell you if its more of a friendship or just friends. If you fell confident about it ask her out then. if not. well your still friends at least. Goodluck bud

If you're really tight with this girl then you should ask her what she'd think about being in a relationship. if she says no then there will be some awkwardness at first but if you're good friends then you'll be laughing about it in no time.

definetly, wondering what could have happened would suck. If you really like her tell her you have feelings or whatever and if she says she likes you back congrats. If she doesnt like you back hopefully you are good enough friends to just put it behind you. The same thing happened to me 3 years ago and we are best friend now

you already have a friendship, just grow from there. Hang out with her a lot, and kind of make advances. For example, watch a movie alone at your house. Both of you sit under the same blanket, and at a point maybe go down and go for holding hands or just rub the back of her hand, and if she looks at you smile. If she stops you then just forget about it, but girls love that stuff and will usually accept it. And if she accepts keep going with that, go on dates, and everything should work out from there.
