hey, i´m thinking of getting full tilt booters and i know the liner can be heat molded. How is this done? Here in Chile all ski stores suck and they don´t get any decent freestyle boots, only racer boots, and i doubt they know how to heat mold a boot. Can anyone explain to me how its done.
Well its an intuition liner so you can do a little research with the internet google machine but at the shop i work at we have a kind of heater/ convection oven, i put them in for about 8-10 minutes till they warm up and open from the heat. then you put them back in the boots and have the person who has a toe piece inside his sock put the boots on and tighten them up. then they stand is skiing stance and let cool for 5-10 minutes. thats mostly it! hope that helps
i wouldn't reccomend that but people do it. not a heat gun thats way too hot. you'll melt your liner or light it on fire. my friends have done both of those. i usually stick them a few feet away from a fire (about 5) or about 5 feet from a space heater or something to heat the whole boot up and then i put em on and go ski lol.
