Durable skis

I have rossignol SAS S1's from last year. I got them about 3/4 of the way through the season last year and they broke yesterday. Is there a certain company that makes more durable skis? Also I like all mountain twin tips.

Armada skis are durable. Instead of buying one pair of $600 skis you could buy two pairs of $300 skis and that way if one pair breaks you have an extra.

well, rossignol actually makes bombproof skis, you just happened to buy their pricepoint/beginner ski that isn't really constructed to take much abuse. look into the s3 s4 and s5 for some quality all mountain skis.

the s1 is basically the cheapest twin tip ski that rossignol makes. other than the youth/junior ones.

k2 is bombproof, the topsheet will peel but the edges,sidewall,etc. and everything else will be intact.

K2 is bombproof but theyre heavy, at least from what i've had before.

Rossi is sooooo sick if you buy the better skis. totally bombproof AND super light.

I have the rossi scratch ghettos from a coupla years ago, you might be able to snag some off tramdock for like $200.

so bombproof, so light.

or, just don't fall.

I've got Rossi Scratch Ghetto's, they are the S4 now I think. I'm pretty sure those skis will last till we have triplet tips.

im having pretty good luck with my Dynastar Spins at the moment. They should have for sure got fucked up when I jumped into a rock the other day but theres no core shot or anything, just a little scrape

yeah i have had S4s for the season and have pretty much just done rails, some jumps and stuff too, and the edge is just starting to crack/go away which i normally wouldn't be to happy with but the amount of abuse i have put them through is astonishing

dynastars. I have yet to have a problem with mine. I've skied over rocks, trees,  gravel and not even a scratch on them

yeah i agree they are heavy, the only other skis i've skied before are the atomic punx, afterbangs and JO pros.  They are all lighter then my disorderlys but i've learned to deal with it and not let it hold me back

no don't keep your skis in the car over night dry them off after you done so they don't rust. wax them ever 2 weeks they'll last much longer.

armada skis have held up so well for me and i never buy the new years because its just a different graphic, at least for the ar6s. Look for last year's or the year before and you won't have to worry about trashing a $600 ski

both my K2 hellbent and Kung Fujas have been really good for the cash you pay for them...

no issues for 2 seasons with the hellbents. and they get thrashed.

no. I've skied rossis for the past 4 years of my life and no pair has ever lasted more than half a season. I've skied pretty much every one of the park skis over these years and they haven't been strong enough for me.

I'm from the east coast so I hit a ton of rails but I only weigh about 145 and go through theses things like crazy.

yeah ive been on a pair of the original rossi sickbirds for about 4 full seasons now and they are still holding up great, coreshots aside but thats prob cause i ski at crested butte, core shots are almost mandatory here

k2s are pretty good i have a pare of disordlys and the only problem i have with them is the topshetts pealing. (and i afterbanmg sooo hard!)

my Rossi FS WRS (their best park ski from awhile ago) are totally bomb proof. they have been to hell and back and still going strong. probably my favorite skinny twin i own. (much better than AR6 and fujative) needless to say buy a higher quality ski.

my brothers Thalls have also been to hell and back and those are still going strong. but it looks like he might be out of edge by the end of this year.

im from the midwest, way as much as you, and hit a bunch of rails too. I just need an all mountain ski that can handle a ton of laps through the park pretty much.

go with an Ar6, Chronic, K2 Extreme or maybe K2 EXT, Armada El Rey, Chronic Kryptonite, maybe Line Mastermind, maybe even Sillencers, Disorderlys. thats all i can really think of. oh yeah, Rossi S4 or S3

I would have said my 4FRNT STL's have held up really well, but yesterday I lost six inches of edge in my tip and today my sidewall exploded soo...

I skied my Rossignol Ghetto's for a season and water ramped in them and they have only one cracked edge. I'm surprised at your story. Usually I've heard Rossignol is very durable.

I have (/had since i am selling them), Moment Jibs. They are completely bombproof, they still look basically new except for topsheet chipping..

Line skis are sooo sick... completely bombproof, killer warranty, great customer service, what else could you want? I have spirals as my only ski and it slays the whole mountain (well atleast EC).

k2, disorderlys are the most bombproof ski Ive ridden, As everyone said the top sheet chips like a bitch but its all good with the base and edges and sidewall
