alright, so 3 days ago i caught one of the gnarliest edges ever off an up box and fell 4 feet directly onto my shoulder. when i got up, it felt really stiff and sore when i moved it, and when i rotate it upwards/forward and pick up heavy objects i feel an intense pain in my shoulder where the arm connects. the best way i can describe this pain is it feels like the muscle on top of my shoulder is a rubber band and someone is flicking it. however, instead of decreasing, this pain is becming more sharp and persistent even with the tiniest movements. granted, i did compete yesterday and ignored the symptons and pain, but im scared about the future of my season. anyone have this similar problem in the past or presently? i am seeking medical attention obviously, but i just want a general understanding of this injury
You could have a separated shoulder, this sounds like pretty similar symptoms to when I separated mine in the summer. Go get it checked out is my only advice.
Sounds like a torn rotator calf or cracked bone. Go to a physio asap and get it checked out. This is a must you odn't want a frozen shoulder, they can take up to 4 years to heal.
