Is windells good for me?

hey im 14 and i was thinking of going to windells but im not that good yet. i'll hit any jump, but my best trick is like a 720 without any kind of grabs. i'm ok at rails too. so is windells worth it for me? The camp doesnt have to be windells so if you know one good for me, then say so. also, would i get my new equipment if i go during the spring or summer?

I think windells would be chill, they will help you with getting grabs, and more. Ignore these 2 fools, trying desperatly to be funny but not really helpfull at all....

Firstly, everything you could ever need to know about Windell's can be found with a little help from our friend, the Searchbar. There are hundreds of threads in which kids ask whether they should go to Windell's or not, which is why this thread doesn't dignify a sensible response.

Secondly, recourse to the Windell's website will tell you that they cater for everyone from beginner through to pro.

And a kid I know went to windels could only do like 7's with some grabs and could k-fed but he went there so i think you could.

actually wendells doesn't look all that bad.....

summer sessions for like $700-1000? is that include room, food and transportation to the mountain? for 8 days?

thats not that bad i guess.

YES windells would be awesome for you!! i've been twice and both times it has been one of the "funnest" weeks of my life...and at your level it'll be a great learning experience

i highly recommend it, it's a lot of fun and you'll probably meet some people and learn some stuff...definitely worth the ca$h

Windells is awesome. If you are able to save up the money or somehow con your parents into sending you...pull the trigger! I always wish I had gotten to go to Windells when I was younger. That place is so damn cool!

To be fair, the reason I wouldn't go is because with flights etc, it'll cost me about $3000. Or I can spend 6 weeks touring European glaciers, ski probably 6 different parks, for about $1000, with my friends. There's no contest really.

Hey, i can see your from England. Im from Denamrk, so i do quite a bit of skiing in the alps (in fact im there right now!) I'd like to know how you can tour the glaciers in the summer for a month, hittin up 6 different places, for a 1000 $? The lift tickets alone would probably be around a 1000 $ (that's only about 500 quid by the way). So let me in on this secret, i wanna know!

Sleep in the car, or on friends' floors, so accommodation costs are negligible. Also, buy half-day lift passes, just to get you up to the mountain, then hike. Go with friends who are reps, and can get cheaper lift passes etc. There's plenty of money-saving opportunities. Either way, 6 weeks touring the parks of the Alps with friends will be significantly cheaper and more fun than flying for 12hrs to ski for 5 days. Not that Windell's isn't a lot of fun, this is just more fun, and cheaper.
Also, as a 19 year old, the idea of being at a camp, and being 'supervised', and not being allowed to drink freaks me out a bit.

I know of at least 10 kids at my mountain who used too suck horribly, and now this season theyre really good. All of them went too Windells. Not trying too say you suck here, but pointing out the massive progression Ive seen from the people who went there.

If you're willing to ski super hard every day, to the point where you are in so much pain from eating shit learning new stuff every day that you don't even want to ski the next day, but you do anyways, you will take a lot out of windells. Trust me.

The only thing that limits you on any given day of skiing is how hard you're willing to push it. The Windells coaches can help you do that as safely as possible. You really take as much out of it as you choose to.

yo man i went when was 14 also at the time i was could a little more than what you have said.. looking back now, i wish i waited because i think i would appreciate going to windells more now.

i would suggest waiting until you can do more before you go to windells because you will be able to have more fun when you can truly shred windells.

im 17 now and wish i could go back but i dont know if i will be able to spend that kind of money again.
