Playful pow ski?

I'm looking for a rockered powder ski that I can still use all over the mountain when there isnt much snow. I'm 6" and 150lb, and i dont want a very stiff ski but it still has to be able to hold an edge. I was thinking Armada JJ's 175, SirFrancisBacons 172, or K2 obSETHed 179. I've heard different things about all of them and was wondering if anyone had tried them and what they thought. Other suggestions would be great too, thanks

check out the moment bibby pro, it's 115 waist, rockered, and definitely a playful ski

the line ep pro will def. be the most playful pow ski out there. it does get a little sketchy in chopped up stuff and if you charge hard. other options would be the hellbent. imo its really playful too, but a tad heavier than the ep. im about the same height/weight as you and got them in 189 and they seem like the eprfect ski for me. they can butter like crazy, give you massive flotation and are just a solid epic pow ski.

otehr options might be the night train from moment, but its alot stiffer tahn both of the above skis,
then the bentchetlers, they are softer than the night trains but also pretty playful.
the obsethed is a good and playful ski which handles the whole mountain well, but excels in pow.

personally i would recommend you either the ep pro or the hellbent. read some threads about these, there are loads on here

im thinking night train and bacons/ep pros. the bacons and ep pros like mentioned up there ^^^ dont really charge that great but are super playful for butters and whatnot. imo id go with the nighttrain

thanks for the advice man, the ep pros' look good, but I've always been a bit intimidated by their size. Like on the really steep stuff I could see them getting in the way a bit on quick turns, are they alright for this too if you just adjust your skiing style a bit?

JJ's are a good ski, not overly playful, but they handle the whole mountain really well, from pow to crud to groomers they got your back.
The Sir Francis Bacon would be my last choice ever, it is still really playful and stuff, but no rocker and there are other skis that would work way better. My friend chose those over the Bentchetlers and is now kicking himself in the butt.
When I rode the Obsethed I was really unimpressed, to me it felt really dead. Read the threads and a buncha people agree with me and a bunch of people think its gods gift to man kind. I dunno, the way I see it, Seth Morrison designed a ski to straight line alaska so thats what it feels like it should be doing all the time, maybe a little to solid feeling if you you know what I mean?
Some people were mentioning the EP Pro and Hellbents, they are definitely playful but they don't have the cambered underfoot which makes them a little sketchy on groomers and crud, cause you have like 50cm of ski actually touching the ground... They are more of a deep pow, BC Jibbin kind of ski.
I ski the Atomic Bentchetlers and Love them! Similar to the JJ's but a little softer, they take on anything with relative ease. They are soft, but really snappy which is nice cause its not like you have a wet noodle under your foot. They come in 183, my dimensions are similar to you, 6'2" 170lbs and they seem really nice on me. If you are a strong skier the length won't be bad at all. If you are worried about the length maybe look at the Atomic Blog, its basically a mini version on the Chetlers, 110 underfoot instead of 123. It comes in a 177 so that could be a really good option as well.

175 JJs measure 173, and you're 6'(but light for 6'), and they have a ton of sidecut and plenty of rocker.  they will be too small for you.  If you want a really playful ski and apparently like really short skis, Chetlers will fit well. They are super poppy in powder and the 5 dimensional shape is good for jibbin in soft snow, and the sidecut isn't way too much underfoot like it is on JJs.

i was worried about that too before i bought the 189 hellbents. but once i took a few pow runs i didnt feel that i had to change my skiing style. especially in powder when your fast they feel alot shorter tahn they actually are and short turns and slahses are no problem. even in the trees they felt pretty good. dont be afraid of the length. rocker and center mounting makes them alot shorter. fat rockerd skis are so playful. you got to try them. the taper on the eps will make buttering even better. no matter which you choose, hellbent, EP, or nighttrain, you wont regret it.

the seths are a pretty dope ski too. with jesters, thats a damn legit setup. i was amazed how well they handled on groomers and pow. the seths would be a thinner (underfoot) and less expensive option for the OP

I'm the same height/weight as you, and I have 186 Moment Donner Parties. Not so great when there isn't a lot of snow, but OH MY GOD, powder is fucking amazing.

Moral of the story: don't shy away from anything in the 180s.

not rockered but still a great pow/all mountain playful ski and pretty old so could get some sweet deals on some used ones would be the rossignol scratch steeze (07 i think). Graphics are kind of gay though
