Just made a small edit to practice filming and editing. Im kinda new to it so some tips on what i did/didn't/should've done would be great. Watch in HD

that was sick dude! went great with the music
only thing u shood take out is how he throws down his skis then it rewinds...looks kind of amateur.

idk i thought the cuts were really jumpy and they didnt always cut to the music and i also thought the editing was a little much for the skill of the skiier and the stuff he was doing

I really liked the opening , the editing was a little over done, but overall it was a good edit.

Its sad but thats exactly what I was thinking. The music and editing make it seem very dramtic, until you realize what trick just went down.

when you do the screen shake effect, make sure you zoom in on the video clip so when it shakes it doesn't show black on tops/sides.

Thanks for the input everyone. After i posted it i watched it a few times and noticed it was a bit choppy. Also the editing was wayyy over done. We just filmed a bunch of easy stuff to practice editing and filming. Thats why there was a lot of the same trick. But thanks again.

Anyone know how i can edit it better next time?

As much as i'd like to help I can't. I suck even more than you haha. But i'd say watch a lot of ski movies and edits for inspiration. Other than that. Do something new. Be creative. After all it is an art.

heres wat i though
the editing was really really good i think ur pretty much good in that category
in the filming i might experiment with getting a little closer to the action...u have a fisheye on the camera so dont be too afraid to get nice and close. Thats really it.

Yeah i still gotta work on filming with that cam... Its pretty hard cause theres no screen to see what your filming or what the angle is gonna look like. Thanks everyone
