I dont know man definetly not diggin that AK knowledge stuff atall, but the kid from my school he goes out to a studio in philly to record and hes been talkin to a manger at shady records, but that wont happen for sure so i think he'll maybe get hooked up with an underground label
in terms of quality yeah. but originality is really pretty lame...he sounds just like every other white rapper that wants to be hood. and he's from ohio. tell him to quit the autotune and rhyme with substance if he wants to go anywhere.
that auto tune was only used on a few songs everything he does these days is just straight thru the mic with no editing of the vocals. but hes growing as an artist. who knows if his music will take him anywhere but he has talent and enjoys doing it. and at the end of the day if he enjoys doing it and some person out there enjoys listening to him, thats a success story in my eyes for all forms of music
No. That was awful. The themes, phrases, delivery, and timing was all off. The style is old, drop the scarface thing. I am being short and to the point. I understand these are just kids but this idea that an image makes you an mc has got to stop. stop using all the same lines and words as everyone else. find your own voice, your own style express what really happens in your life, express imagery that paints a picture, express creativity. do not fall into this category of "rappers" that think they flow, at least flow in time with the kick and snare or syncopate your rhythms and delivery with purpose. I am sorry but all of the music I have just heard is not creative and a shame. find your own niche of hip hop and your own style, stop trying to be something you are not. sorry to be rude but the music business is very direct and if kids are trying to break into it they should be told the truth. but on a positive note at least they are doing something some what constructive with their time.
this kid has his own style but timing is still off and delivery seems timid. If anyone knows this kid tell him not to hold the mic like that when he performs live, it completely undermines the way a microphone is designed to work and that is why so many hip hop shows sound like shit because mcs do not know how to use a microphone, it is sad. but this kid should keep at it he is young.
