Not sure if anyone has read this book, its a good read. I just got hit with an essay due Tuesday.

Question : What does the novel teach us about culture, politics and ethnicity?

that is the easiest essay prompt ever
the book is filled with all of that shit on every page. It's all about people and their views on life as immigrants, his dad's pride, their tightknit community in America, so much shit

Haha, that book is written exclusively on those three topics.  I don't think your incapable of coming up with something if you've read it.

no offence or anything but thats a pretty basic topic... the whole book reeks of all those moral/ethical themes. also the whole way the war threatens the loss of his culture and stuff.

if you just recently read the book i think you should be able to think of stuff fairly easily.
