my old mountain in PA got about 60+ inches this year already! i get back here and its like im acutally in what i would expect pa to be.. if you follow my train of though haha.
yeah dude i am going to utah friday and really would like some snow!!!!! here at snoqualmie in washington alpental has over 90 inches already haha. snow will come... locals keep those mormons under controll, find that laser
i was looking at the wheather and i cant tell what it mean it says it should snow for a couple days of chances of snow and slight snow fall? to all the locals do you think it will be a good storm???
no. mountain biking season is just around the corner. the pattern is not shifting, sorry bud. i'd check out brian head, i hear the true SW has been getting hammered this year.
for everything you need to know, go to noaa.gov, type in alta, or snowbird, UT and read the forecast discussion and forecast weather table interface. they are the two most straightforward ways to interpret what is coming in, and don't involve deciphering crazy charts and shit. but yes, we may be in a for a pattern change.
i just spent a bunch of time on NOAA and it looks like only 1-4 inches by the end of the week and after that the chances for a storm are not looking good. the radar for most of the west coast was dry with the exception of Portland. not stoked
i have a feeling the whole pattern might be shift mid next week.
pc is gunna be 44 and sunny all weekend but from the looks of it the whole pattern might change and we might be getting some more typical weather in the wassatch
somehow i skied some fresh today at powder mountain, seriously, i hiked out to cobabe canyon and the snow was still good. if you ski sundown ride past deadhorse and there is a hill covered in fresh snow, i didnt know that was possible due to the conditions, but its out there.
Yea I've been hearing the same things. And there are a multiple storms lined up in the Pacific according to the satellite. Everyone say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed!
theyre calling for 3 to 5 feet inbetween southern utah and california. and thats just one storm, theres a huge low pressure system coming in three waves, monday morning, tuesday night, and thursday morning. calling for ALOT of precipitation.
we're fucked, this pattern is still bringing all the significant stuff south of us. seriously. this is getting ridiculous, of course my first year in UT starts (and continues to be) one of the poorer ones in awhile.
