to dylhole: never.  These events are run by money.  Money is giving when good ratings occur.  Good ratings do not occur during womens' events.  Sadly, that is just the way it is.

But my question is, how is this not advertising?  I am sure the first drop guy is great and all, but there have been numerous threads like this.  "First Drop spotted in Vail newspaper!".  I feel like if Oakley were doing this it would taken down as advertising. 

Just a musing, don't take it too seriously.

well first drop pays to advertise on the site, with the banner ads and all. so i dont think its a problem? dont hold me to that tho.

I don't mind not seeing their runs.  Id just asoon ride PC a little more and see 13 year olds blowing women's slope runs out of the water...

i dont mind this at all. I would maybe if oakley or fulltilt "spotted" threads started popping up but thats cause their already a well known company. Props to firstdrop for being a hot upcoming company in the biz.
