Scary moments in life

So a few minutes ago I went to the sporting goods store with my friend and step brother. When we were about to leave my friend and step brother rushed to get shotty and then spilled candy. They went back in to get candy so I figured I would mess with them and cruise around, I went around for a minute and then came and parked 5 spots down from where I was between a bush and 2 tall trucks. I waited for a while and then got a text message from them stating that they needed my help because a group of people(gang people) thought they had money and were keeping them hostage or something of that nature. I had a gut feeling this was a terrible prank, but I knew that risking embarrassment was far worse than risking my friend and step bro getting mugged, raped, killed ect or whatever.I run around screaming their names looking for them near by far the sketchiest walking bridge ever on a 20 degree night(cold around here). I tried called and they text back that they can't talk( I wonder how in the fuck they were texting, more evidence towards this being a forgery but I couldn't be sure. I get a message that goes something like "r u da nigga who be with the niggaz we got right here" this was yet another thing that made me think this was a terrible prank but I shoved those suspicions to the back of my mind and let my protective instincts take over. I wasn't sure if I should get my car jack think and run around looking for who to club or if I should just forfeit my belongings for their safety or call the cops or what. Finally I call and my friends call back, its pretty illogical that they would have their phone back but I rush back to the car and we get out of there. Even though it was appallingly obvious this was a vicious prank I was still scared and tried to rush off. A few feet away from the parking spot they came clean.

Sparknotes: I played a small prank on my friends so they text me saying they have been kidnapped by some cholos. They were lying but I wasn't going to sit and do nothing. I wrote all this shit when I could have been writing a lab report. Fuck those kids.
