dont worry its normal. when there is a cause, people look for the most convenient way to support it in order to make themselves feel better. in this case, its changing their facebook status. if it was donating money or anything that their friends might not reconize them for doing, god forbid. people are pathetic when they feed off of a cause to boost their self confidence/image.

I agree with him though. If you want to raise awareness, do it in a productive way. By typing your bra color helps nothing. Everyone knows what breast cancer is. Typing a bra color doesn't help people know about it in any way. Its silly and childish. To create awareness, do it in a productive way.

nothing except for the fact that bras hold boobies, breast cancer happens in boobies, so bras hold breast cancer??

whoever developed this logic is an idiot. it should be like "post the amount of money you donated to help breast cancer" but no, it's instead "if you're somewhat overweight, post your bra color so people notice you and are marginally grossed out but you think you're hot because you're such a rebel and posted something totally wild and revealing on facebook"

To the people doubting this has raised awareness, I am will to be 90% of you saw a bunch of people's statuses were colours, and didn't know why so you went and found out. And found out they did it to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Like I said earlier... We all know breast cancer exists now. So the point is retarded if thats the attempt. Awareness now should be information about it. Who the fuck cares if someone is like its for breast cancer awareness. I am aware it exists, as everyone else does. Its just a shallow attempt for girls to think they "donated" to a cause that most of them know very little to nothing about.

Yeah. Girls feel good about this and in turn feel like they've done their part, not doing other productive things about it. I don't really need to hear it from most of the girls either. Only a few of the girls posting are ones I actually want to picture with/without their bras.

It's one of those trendy attention grabs.

I set my status to something like "I'm stumped as to how posting your bra colour has anything to do with putting an end to breast cancer"
Nobody has replied yet. They probably all know that it's not doing anything.

If you want to make me more aware of breast cancer, make your status something informative or a link to something informative. By putting your bra color and thinking you "donated" to a cause is shallow! What you did is you informed no one of anything. Everyone knows breast cancer exists so awareness is now not telling people it exist but by telling people more about it. /rant
