yeah man, its awesome.  its right by my house so i go a bunch over the summer to skate.  plus i have a friend that works there.  I've never done the water ramps but they look sick, plus there is way more stuff i've never even seen for bikes. 

check it out for sure.

it's an unbelievable facility. i highly recommend anyone to go check it out. you can lose yourself for days at that place. so much fun stuff to do.

I cant get over how much i recommend this place to anyone in any action sport. I went the opening weekend 3 summers ago, and have been there every chance possible, at times every weekend for like 2 months straight. The past two summers i went for 2 sessions each summer, totally worth it. I have learned all kinds of new tricks and the guy that runs the place is sooo chill, just like a kid. No question about it everyone needs to check this place out.

By far one of the coolest facilities that I have ever seen. They have it all indoor/outdoor parks, water ramps, and an insane dirt jump setup! If you haven't been you have to go!

i went there for two weeks and loved it!!!!!! it says on the add that they have tramps now does anyone know if that is true of not???

yea weekend sessions you need to be 18+ and the water ramps are open. I really wanna go its only like a 2 hour drive but I'm not taht good at park yet so I'd probably look like an idiot.

The purpose of this camp is to up your park skills and make those tricks you want possible. So you wouldn't look like an idiot and everyone there is to learn so besides coachs, all the campers will be supportin you into stompin' what you want.  I went to the first session they had and a couple weekends for water ramping. SOO Sick. Highly recommended, you will not be dissappointed.

I was looking on their site today. Im from Pittsburgh. Is it possible to just drive out and hit the water ramps for a day or do you need to be enrolled in a camp.

im sure those are just the better of the kids. if everybody that went there tore it up like that, that would be ALOT of talented kids...

theres probably kids who are just working on the basics, and then you always have the "poser" kids who just want to do it because they saw something on tv and say they can do it, then they get to the place and pussy out. ive seen it happen

haha, well.... everyone that goes isnt in the videos, i go there a few times a year, I live in the area, and I'm by no means great, my first year doing it i loked like a complete idiot, i bet i still do.... but thats besides the point you just have to work with what you got and get comfortable with it and then you can progress, thats what its for, i really only do spins and attempted shitty accidental looking half flips, but i dont care that i look like a fool, but that im actually trying, a lot of people wont even do that.

go out there, give a chance, chris (the owner) is some help too, he always helps me out because I'm always scared as shit, but yeah just go and try it out, youve got nothing to loose

* Saturdays Only
* 12am til 12 pm
* 18 and over only
* $15.oo for the whole day.
* Proper I.D. is required, No I.D.-No Entry

Ohio Dreams is a premier trainig facility where the best come to learn and grow. If you are under the age of 18 and eligable for summer camp 2010 (between the ages of 9 and 17) you can take part in our Saturday day Sessions ONLY if you are pre-registered for Summer Camp 2010.

There is such a huge range of people that go there. There have been kids that are scared just to ski down the in run and straight air the jumps and there are kids like Chris Laker, Nick Goepper, Matt Heffernan, Cody Ling, and many more sick up and coming skiers who are throwing unnatural cork 9's, kangs, dub corks, and all kinds or crazy trickery.

As long as you come there with a good attitude and a willingness to push yourself and progress, I guarantee you will have an awesome time and will become a better skier.

so hold on, 12 am to 12 pm? so you have to get there at midnight friday night? to ride til noon on saturday? I'm confused.
also, who knows the deal with the weekend sessions? cuz my ass is much older than 17.

No, someone just made a typo. It is supposed to say from noon to midnight. The few Saturday open sessions at the end of summer are going to be the only ones. Camp is going on all summer long so there are no weekend sessions during camp.

let me also be the umpteenth person to voice my displeasure about the lack of open weekend sessions.
my thought would be limiting access to just campers who are under 17 is a money losing proposition, but what do I know.

anyway, would def use the facilities if they opened them to non campers

exactly...what do you know? not shit...take a out a crazy fat loan, gamble all the money on a multi million dollar extreme sports camp that caters to young kids, take care of a family on the side, + umteen other things and then voice your opinion :)

^^^^^I'll voice my opinion whenever and where ever the fuck I please. I realize the risk involved and have a decent idea as to the fundamentals of loans, family, etc.

just, you know, volunteering that they are, in fact, losing one weekly customer right here, thats all.

I just wanted to clear things up. So 18+ open water ramps sessions will not be available until September? I'm moving back to Pittsburgh in June for work and was planning on coming out on Saturdays to hit the water ramps. Will this not be a possibility until the fall? Will there be any other times during the week that it will be open to regular people over 18? Thanks.

i dont think the open sessions are untill september. but as you asked in the last post the jumps aren't olypic jumps they are they kind of jumps you would see in a park in the winter( like steepness of the jumps)

To Tranquilo: Ohio Dreams was designed to be a CAMP. The reason day sessions were run more often when O.D. first started up, was because the inaugural season of camp was very short and they needed to get people down to the facility to help spread the word. Now after a few years, with a relatively well established name and increased camper numbers, they are trying to get back to their roots of why they opened in the first place. And that is to be a dedicated summer camp for kids from the ages of 7-17 from the end of June to late August. Think of it like Momentum or Woodward. Both of those places are designed to be a camp. Day sessions are not cost effective for them and letting in non-campers during camp takes away from the experience of the campers by further congesting the facilities. Kids and their parents that pay $850 a week for coaching and unlimited ramp time are going to be kinda pissed when they are waiting in line behind kids who just dropped $20 bucks to come out for the day. Plus, day session kids would just get in the way of camp operations. Counselors need to be able to keep track of kids and make sure they adhere to camp rules (no fighting, stealing, drinking, drugs, etc.) and bringing in kids for the day has a serious potential to mess all of that up. I hope that helps you to understand how the camp owner/operator looks at things.

And to FatPlanks: I hope what I said above helps you to understand why we don't have sessions to kids 18+ during camp. Kids leave Saturday morning and come back for the next session mid Sunday afternoon. The camp staff needs that little bit of time in between to be able to clean/maintain all of the facilities/dorms and get a little bit of personal down time before the next round of kids rolls in. And again, all of that would be extremely difficult to do if we are trying to have kids out during the day in between camp sessions.

They are stepping it up HUGE this year. I just spoke with Chris last weekend and he is really stoked about the new additions, and rightfully so. All new surface for the water ramps, larger kicker, rails, trampolines, the list goes on. Go check it out.

Haha that's ridiculous it actually is a really fair price.. The costs to run the facilities, add, maintain, and build new features, the INSURANCE for all of that, the electricity, the pool, the pay to staff, get food and board for the campers, promotion, and gas are all solid reasons why a camp costs nearly a thousand dollars.
