Panasonic has just released what will be the first prosumer 3D camcorder. This thing looks rad, here is a snapshot i took from their site (linked above)

Yeah I read today that 3D consumer TVs are coming out in a few months.. starting around $2000

Looks like they have an attachment for the 3D on a hpx170. FUCKIN RIGHT i have a hpx. I just wonder how much it will be....

Nah, not gonna be p2 based.  It's avchd, probably just a hmc150 with the new lens on front.

the hmc150 looks exactly like the hpx.  This camera records to sd cards so I can only assume that they've just reworked the hmc150 to accommodate the new lens setup.

This whole 3d thing got me thinking... it's possible right now without this camera.  Give me a few days and I'll have something to post.

..yeah just hold two cameras right next to each other and make one a blue hue and the other a red hue. then get glasses obviously.

it isn't that hard either; you get acceptable results pretty easy but if you want excellent results that portray the image in 3D perfectly that's a whole other story ...

if you're interested browse youtube, there are some tutorials ...
