Essay wording

I'm writing an essay on how to "grind a rail," but everyone just laughs at me discussing grinding rails. I might use "how to slide rails," but I'm not sure. I can't think of any other word combination that works. I don't care if they're funny or normal, I just need some ideas.

That's a negative ghost rider. It's a process paper, so a VW beetle wouldn't be a good one.
