anyone know about ray mears?  he is another guy who has a show and does the same stuff.  but he doesn't immerse himself in his surroundings like the later, his show just gives you no bs survival information.

ray mears is probably the most helpful of them all. He fully tells you what to do and how to do it.

i dont care if either are real or fake i think they are both entertaining and at least do have some meaning to the shows unlike some things on tv now.

Dude, i have a bunch of friends who do stuff like that, right now they're even on "vacation" in the alps, living on a mountain and they don't even have a tent or a stove, just sleeping bags, clothing, survival meals, knife, lighter, etc...

I love Bear, but please, in a survival situation do not follow any of the "advice" he gives on his show, as almost all of it entails burning way to much energy, or an almost certain failure of dying (climbing vines, jumping off large cliffs, taking honey from a beehive...)

have you ever watched survivorman?

he goes out there with the clothes on his back, a penknife and sometimes matches... half the time he doesnt even have matches. he goes to places that are some of the worst to survive in in the world, and lives there for 7 days.
he doesnt have fucking survival meals ora sleeping bag or anything. he is by himself, filming the entire thing, and showing you how he survives. it is real. it isnt some faggot running around with a film crew killing reindeer and drinking there blood for no reason and then going to sleep in a fucking hotel around the corner.

survivorman builds real traps and catches his own food and does all that shit with no help. he complains because it fucking sucks if youre alone in the middle of nowhere for 7 days with no food or water and your fucking trap doesnt work or something like that.

This is entertaining. All i know is Man vs. Wild is the more entertaining of the two shows and i watch TV to be entertained so i watch Man vs. Wild
