I thought the edit was sick. I don't care to weigh on the current debate, but I'd be willing to wager money that if Andreas H. and Tom W switched personalities and on or off camera attitude then every kid on this site would be in love with Andreas. The guy has a HUGE bag of tricks with lots of style - he just doesn't have to put out 17 edits every year to prove how good he is.

Really heath?? Gus is a freshman college quarterback and Wallisch is Brett Favre?? Thats a bit of a stretch. I will go with Wallisch is a legend but comeon. They are both pro. If your going with your football metaphors its more like Gus is Kyle Orton or Jay Cutler and Wallisch is Elway. Id say thats a little more fair.

This man speaks the truth. Wallisch has the best style around, but when it comes to tricks Andreas has easily the biggest bag of tricks around. He can do most doubles both ways and still has a pretty sick style. He's probably the best park skier out there right now, I don't really care though, I find arguing skiers couldn't be dumber considering its all personal preference.

These types of threads are just stupid, and so is everyone that creates them..We will never come to an agreement on this site as to who is the better skier, as its all opinions..we all like different things. Style, tricks etc...
Tom and Gus are sick skiers, that both represent what newschoolers is all about..Kids coming out of nowhere putting up edits of themselves and blowing up to what we all dream of. As to whos better? WHO CARES! They both are sick, and are awesome to watch. To compare 2 skiers no matter what isnt fair. Support who you want, but dont knock down others, because you dont feel their style as much as the others.

To wrap up this paragraph, thanks Gus and Tom and every other pro skier who inspires all of us to get better, and gives us something to get stoked on by putting up edits, and watching the dew tour/xgames on tv....

It is crazy how much everyone is on Wallisch's nuts holy crap. Id say they are both to the point where its jus preferance in style. I dont know either ones riding just watched oth their edits and Gus's blew me away!! Wallisch's was crazy too, I always feel like people wear insanely baggy clothes so it "makes" their style though. Both crazy.

gus is sick lets not take away anything from him. he has youth on his side which is always a plus.

but first of all before making such a bold statement i think first you should learn to spell their names.

and secondly, since free skiing has began no one has made more of a dominating statement in the sport then wallisch. his style, lack of fear, and raw skill are comparable to none. tom wallisch IS freestyle skiing.

I just want to ask: do you know Wallisch, or Gus or other pros out there enough to say that he has a lack of fear, even compared to other pros? I've seen many interviews from a lot of pros who admit that having fear is a big factor (and an important one) when hitting crazy features.

I don't know about this "lack of fear" comment, seems weird. Both Gus and Tom have replied in this thread that we should stop this comparison shit and I agree. Unless we put any two people on the line playing HORSE or some other game throwing the same tricks I think the comparisons would be in order, but I believe a lot of pros (or skiers to that) don't care about that...just love riding and that's it.

Your right dude save the comparisions for the judges when you guys are in comps against each other.

And I know you have to be modest but I think you and wallish are pretty close, and you each have your strengths and weakness when looking at your overall abilities head to head.

Again, no, he is not. Maybe Tanner, Candide or Jon - dominating almost every aspect of skiing out there. Pipe, park, racing, moguls, BC jumps, big mountain, urban.

Maybe in the years to come, but no. Stop the comparisons! Let everyone do what the hell they want, perfect what the hell they want and in the end, most of them probably don't give a shit if you don't like it - if you do like 'em for what they do, they love you back. Think about it.
