I have Applied for:
-Environmental Science-Geoscience
-Earth Sciences
-Geology
-Mechanical engineering

I know, I am so indecisive! I have really no idea what I want to do with my life.. I would want mechanical engineering to lead me in the ski industry (skis, boots, goggles, etc.) but It seems to me that I have a slight chance of making it in the industry. I am leaning more towards environmental science, since I believe that it holds a promising future since more and more countries are looking to be more environment friendly and all.. and that I believe it is our duty to look out for our planet for our generation and future generations to come.
Thoughts on the majors I have listed?

With Mechanical you can do anything. When you graduate you can go get a "green" job. But you wont because you will get paid more, have more responsibility, and have a better job doing engineering.

Hit the nail on the head. Thats what i like about ME, and if you want to specialize in another branch that is similiar, all it takes is just a few different extra classes, but the cores are all mainly the same. So theres a lot of ways you can go with it. As i stated in my earlier post I want to do something in either Automotive or Aeronautical/Aerospace, which are both pretty different from each other, but carry the same core principles and laws.

There are a ton of options for MEs in the green field. Designing dams, wind turbines, new fuel cells, solar cells, etc.. the list goes on. Thats one thing that the green field needs. To truly become independent from fossil fuels you slowly have to change the entire energy infrastructure or build anew, and engineers will do that.

English - Going to either sell out and go to law school, or try being a screenwriter/novelist. Or fall back on being an English/History teacher or just getting a boring corporate job as a quantity surveyor with my dad.

IT w/ a focus in Business Management.  Hope to be an IT guy for a fire department, school district, small business, or if it pans out a ski resort.  One of my professors knows an IT guy at Bachelor so who knows.
