First of all How do you like the camera pros?cons?

I do have one question and it should be east for a more experienced user.

I am using the camera as the importing camera onto my computer.How bad is it actually to do this? I only plan to have this camera stock at least another two years or so before upgrading in film school.

you use it only to pop the tape in and import it? i would suggest buying a dock or something, becuase thats just a waste of a camera. If you are going to film school, get that thing off of your desk and start shooting, or give it to me :)

can i take a guess that you are using an hv30 to film, and then swaping out the tape to the XH A1 to import?

oh yea ok.
1) im not a rich bitch whoever can use an xh a1 for import only is crazy
2) maybe your not clear of the question.

I have an xh a1 that i shoot AND import with
How much damage will it actually do over time to the camera with using it as an importer as well.?

a lot of people worry about capturing on their cameras but on a newer camera its not that big of  a deal. While it does put more work on the heads, it most likely wont hurt your camera if you take good care of it. Another alternative is to buy a cheap "cap cam" off ebay and use it to capture. I strongly suggest it

We use two XH A1s you can use the heads for thousands of hours before they need to be cleaned which is only like 300 bux.

does the XH have a counter for heads? If it does a capture cam would be worth it to to keep low hours on the XH for resale purposes.
