Question about my skis condition

I just bought 09 anthems this season and have skied them about 7 or 8 times this season and they are already scratched and have some chips in them. I've been hitting some rails at my local park but nothing extreme and it doesn't seem like they're going to last me 2 years if they keep getting cuts and chips at the rate they are now. Any help will be greatly appreciated +k for anything.

No worries man. Pretty much all skis get their top sheets all chipped and stuff.

the top sheet just kinda wraps around the whole ski all the way to where it meets the edge and base
as opposed to a sidewall ski, where at the edge of the ski, the top sheet stops and basically a piece of something (donno what is is? plastic?) acts as a connector between the top sheet andthe edges and bases

as long as the chips aren't on the bottom of the skiis like on the bases or edges it's not too big a deal it's just aesthetic value.

Cap skis usually have better top sheet durability than side wall skis, but all skis chip, it's not a bit deal, I've seen some pretty worn out Anthems and they work just fine. I wouldn't worry about it unless you get a core shot in the top sheet or it starts to delam (which usually isn't caused by the chipping itself).
