Who do u think will land the first triple filp with spin?

Sorry for the double post, but:

You touched on something I've been wanting to say about this argument for a while.  All the people that are pointing out that Aerial skiers have done it already are missing something.  Aerials jumps whip you straight up into the air, and freestyle/freeride jumps send you mainly forward.  You get some height but you mainly move in the same direction you were going.  This does a few things:

First, it affects how the rotation looks; a double cork 12 off an aerials jump, if it could be done, would look like an entirely different trick than a double cork 12 off an 80-foot table, because the rotation in relation to direction of travel has a lot to do with the trick.  So a triple off a park jump would not look like an aerial jump.  What it actually will look like is for us to see in the coming years, or months, or whatever.

Second, the sudden change in momentum caused by skiing up an aerial jump basically makes you spin.  I'm no expert, but I would wager that it's probably easier, if you are capable of both, to do a backflip off an aerial jump than to straight air it.  My point is, aerial jumps are built to facilitate insanely fast rotation.  Park jumps are not, necessarily.  This also changes the game a bit.

My point is, I'm pretty sure that the difference in the jump traits will make park triples separate from aerials triples, no matter what.

Jump construction aside, aerial skiers do backflips and spins.  There are no off-axis rotations in aerials.  By contrast, all tricks combining flips and spins in freestyle are off-axis.  There is no way that a park triple will look like an aerials triple, because the tricks will be totally different.  Unless it's just a triple back or something, which would just be silly.

I've seen him to kangs and double cork 10s and 12s, and others. He did pretty much all of the known ones in Refresh if i remember correctly. Only watched it once though.

i know what you mean but dumont could probley match if not beat alot of pro skiers. he does do alot of 1080 and cork 7 and cork 3. but thats becuase he think they are fun to do.
