Buttering?

Hey,

anyone knoe of tips on how to do buttering 360s off the front tips?

ive been trying im using chronic line skis maybe thats the problem? idk

Ive been trying it on the same skis. there pretty stiff but its still possible.

My only problem is my liner just ends up moving in my boots..maybe im doing it wrong....

If your liner's moving it probably means your boots aren't fitting properly or something...I'd get that checked out by a bootfitter or something. It would probably make butters and skiing in general easier.

First you wanna be able to pop forward onto your tips and get your tails off the ground. Then try skiing slowly and doing that same motion with the same motion that you would do for a 180 in the air. It's kinda hard for me to explain but once you get 180 butters down, 3 butters should come naturally. Just pop and twist a little bit harder to set a faster spin and to keep your tails off the ground longer. Try it off the nuckle of a jump or a little lip first.

Shift your weight and spin! I dont really know how to describe it...
Commit and throw yourself at the noses and spin. You'll notice how its done

do a sliding 180 over a roller or something, and once your just passing a 90 degree spin throw yourself forward and put all your weight on the tips. push off and use the flex in your skis to pop and spin the rest out until your facing downhill

my friend rides line SS pros which are insanely stiff and he can butter 5. so its all about how much you commit and throw your weight into it. otherwise theres something wrong with your boots and the way they fit

Well you chose the stiffest ski to try that trick..loosen the buckles of your boots, helps your weight get farther forward when your heel lifts up. still want more height? suck your legs up. still cant do it? trade them in for some afterbangs.. just sayin'...

Im not exactly an expert, but I've been fucking around with butters too on stiff skis and I find little butter 180's off of hips to be the easiest. I've got them around into super sketchy butter 3's but once i'm comfortable I'll move it on to rollers and then flat ground.

wasn't really expecting this must help! i very much appreciate it.

skiing beaver creek for the past week no snow means no stone creek which was bumming me. is trying the nose butter 3's easier on flat ground or a roller? i was doing flat hop 3's fine so maybe it will make it easier?

do them on the side of jumps over the roller.  you feel weightless if u go fast enough

those tips are great but do them off anythng u can and eventually you will be great

if you hit a roller with speed (not too much) you become temporarily weightless and it makes it easier to butter

Actually speed totally matters. If you did one going ridiculously fast it would work way better, but you will just wreck yourself more if you fall.

Commit and throw your weight into it. I have skis that are well over my head and all it takes to butter them is me committing and throwing as much weight into them as I can.
