Is it possible for a ski to lose "life"?

I have surface watch lifes and after using my Armada JJ's on groomers, i noticed that the JJ's have more life to them, like they want you to actually do shit and have fun with it on groomers. But obviously, it's kind of bulky and big to do anything crazy.

Then going back to the watch life's it just feels kind of blah compared to the JJ's. Don't get me wrong, they are great skis and can carve it up and shit. But it just feels lacking in the life department. If that makes sense.

no, its nothing to do with pop

more like the way the skis WANT you to ride it.

the watchlife couldnt care less what you do with it, hence being it "meh/blah"

but whereas the jj's want you do more and want you to have as much fun as possible as you can while riding it.

they are 2 different skis with different construction. they are going to ski different. sounds like the jj suits your skiing style better.

your title should be who likes skiing jj's more then (any ski you want to compare)

the answer to your actual question. yes skis loose there camber and poppyness over time. the longer you ski them and the more days you put on them the deader/sloppier they will feel.

My 08/09 line blends are dead.they still have meat in them and all. but they have become supersoft, rockered in the tips, do nothing but chatter. Main thing is that its not the same flex, you notice it. not the same ski it was before. so yes,in my opinion, the ski can die.

i guess you could say that but the watch lifes can be playful too, just doesn't have that same kind of life to it.

Same thing happened when I got ON3P's after riding Madens religiously. Madens are a fun ski, in a soft, heavy and bulldozer kinda way. The ON3P's, even being wider, continue to have way more pop and life to them. Skis definitely do deaden with age, but a lot of it has to do with your style and the way you ride.

how can you tell what skis fit you the best without being able to demo/try it out first?

I kind of want to save up badly for a new 80-90 waist ski after seeing how much more fun the JJs are over the watch lifes.
