Tweaked knee, looking for a good brace.

I was skiing the home mountain (Bristol, NY) this past monday and streched my knee a tad after I caught an edge after landing the long flatdown rail in the park. Basically my right tail caught while riding away, causeing my left leg to go forward but tweaking my knee sideways (the way it doesnt naturaly bend). I felt a pull and it hurt instanly, I ejected my skis and just chilled in the park treating my knee with snow till ski patrol got there. I spent the rest of the day icing it in the med buidling, seeing how my knee swelled like a balloon moments after I got hurt. The only visible and physical injury is my right knee is super duper swollen, but I went to the doc yesterday having fear of tearing something, but my doc said it seems like my knee is fine as the only pain I have is trouble bending my knee (mad swollen), but he told me to just take it easy till sunday, ice and elevation, if the swelling isn't subsided in a week they need to check it out more. I was wearing 2 Ace knee braces, I hurt my knee back in August kind of the same way, but all they really do is add support, nothing to prevent rotation or bending, and I would like to ski by next week if possible, if not I need to stay strong because I go to CO at the end of January. Once my knee is unswollen and I can fully put pressure on it, I need to buy a knee brace that does something to prevent bending or rotating as it did when I caught my edge, I dont want to go back skiing and just hurt me knee again (obv). The only big kneebrace brand I know is Asterisk (I think Ahmet Didali rocks a pair), but I don't have $600 let alone $300 to drop on a pair of kneebraces... I really don't want to fuckup the rest of my season though, so Im taking it as easyily as possible till then. Does anyone have a reputable brace brand I should checkout? (Im sorry this post is so huge, I just don't want to leave anything crucial out)

Make sure It's not your acl, I just had surgery On mine And I had the same problem.. If the swelling doesn't go down then theres something wrong.. Keep icing.

My doc pressed every angle around and near my knee, nothing moved or hurt at all, just the swelling. He said he's pretty sure I did the most damage I could without tearing it, but yea im keepin the icepack on all week.

yeah. And you are going to want to get a CTi brace. If you go to a doctor, and he gives you a prescription for knee braces your insurance will cover it allowing you to get a good brace.
