Does facebook freeze up anyone elses firefox?

I have firefox 3.5, and whenever i facebook chat with like 2 or more people, every time they message me my firefox gets all fucked up and freezes for like 5 seconds then comes back all slow and shit. It's pissing me off so much. This happen to anyone else?

Yup does it to me too. It especially gets annoying when I'm watching a video on another tab and all of a sudden, it lags super bad for 6 seconds and then I hear a click signaling that I received a fb chat reply.

Yeah facebook chat never works on my firefox (im on a mac too) i cant go to the list and select someone to talk to and the only way i can chat is if they start it and half the time it wont send what i type.

Facebook chat doesnt work very well  in 3.5.6 for whatever reason

You need to download the older 3.5.5 version and there will be no issues. Google it and youll find a download somewhere.

i was just gonna make a thread about this, happened to me so much last night. when i was talking to two people it would freeze up, but when i was just talking to one it was fine.

and when you have multiple tabs in firefox and someone messages you on facebook chat... oh that pisses me off. when you try talking to them some, you find out that you have to keep switching tabs to get the new message. then sometimes it will freeze midsentence and you have to go to the other tab to rewrite and send it.

thats why i just leave it offline now.
