in terms of visuals and technology: definitely.  avatar was sick.
but when you look at everything else that makes a movie good, or "best," like plot, characters etc.

it sucked.

I know it's your opinion, but that movie sucked. I have read the book and they left so much out that was pretty important. Bonnie and Clyde weren't even in the movie, as well as the Barker brothers. If you read the book, you will see what I mean.

i almost went to see avatar yesterday, but i was exhausted so i didn't go. it looks sick. i guess the best movies i've seen this year are inglorious basterds, the hangover, i love you man, and then a bunch that didn't come out this year (pulp fiction, reservoir dogs, donnie darko, v for vendetta, thank you for smoking, boondock saints etc.) i saw a lot of movies i should have saw a long time ago
