Irecently launched NEsnowrides.com in 2009. It helps snow enthusiasts connect and arrange carpools up toski resorts in the Northeast.
NEsnowridesis a free service for passionate skiers, snowboarders, and tele-skiers livingon the east coast. It allowsmembers to save money, cut down on the amount of driving, and have an easy timefinding a ride to and from the slopes.
Thesite has both a rideboard and community component. The rideboard has nine different categories eachrepresenting a state in the Northeast. A member can either post to find or offer a ride in the state that theyare from. The communitycomponent allows members to interact with one another by viewing profiles,adding new friends, and sharing photos and videos of their trips.
Users must have ane-mail address to use the service. Once registered, carpoolers can search for drivers and passengers basedon the date of travel, resorts, home zip code, and other factors.
