Comments on Filming and Editing?

Last year i Picked up a new HV20 for 400 dollars. This year a decided i was going to try and put out some nice edits.  This was my first attempt of the season. I use Vegas 9. Any suggestions on filming and editing are welcome.

Yeah it was pretty good I just didn't like the random falls. The one at the end was find though. The Blue Tint though is given off by your camera in low light, my hv30 gives off a pink tint in low light. Not much you can do about it just color correct it out.

ya i stopped filming for a couple hours the light was so bad. and the falls where there becasue my friend broke his leg that day and they will most likely be his only shots of the year

ummm i dont think that blue tint was the lighting i think that was probably you forgot to whitebalance

To fix the lighting problem just dont film on days like that. Just go have fun and ski. Get some shots on sunny days.

same as everyone else, the color changes and shit messed with my eyes quite abit, but otherwise it was perty good, is there a scratch on ur lens cause that kinda bugged me whateva it is, But you guys kill it, good work

its not given off by the camera, its just your white balence is off. point your camera at a white object (snow?) and zoom so it fills the screen. go to white balence, select custom and press select

im drunk so this ids going to be a good critique because im putting effort into it..

ok so filming was pretty on point. try and get some more stationary angles because they look better when theyre longlens. follow shots really only look good if you have a steady cam or a fisheye.... try and put more thought into your angles and make them look real cool when your watching them

editing was pretty noobish i must say... loose all those gay color shits because that look fucking retarted. like the tints and the grey and white.. you have most of your cluips on sync with the music which is real good so props on that.. that song was kinda gay though i didnt really enjoy listening to it.

usually if you show a fall you want to show them landing it after.

colors were ok.. you really want to white balance every time you are filming to that your colors are on point and not blown to shit like yours were

skiing was dope so keep that shit up





hopefully none of that was offensive just trying to give some good critiques so that you can get better and make your edits really enjoyable like im sure you want them to be

i notice your slow mo was pretty smooth-
did you use the 60i to 60p conversion thing that everyone with hv's do?
if not check this out:
theres a way you can do it only in vegas its a hassle but results are incredible,
and the blue tint problem is easily fixed - its called WHITE BALANCE
do it wenever you shoot
i mean u got white snow all over or just play around and WB on different things till you find the best colors
