Every once in a while it doesn't read my disc. Doesn't matter what game it is, but it just says "open tray" when there is clearly a disc in there. I open it and close it and nothing happens, i put different games in and nothing happens, and then i turn it off and on and nothing happens. Then after a while it just works. It's not a huge deal because it does work after a while, but it is very inconvenient. Does anyone have this problem and is there a way to fix it without fucking up my xbox?
I had this problem for a while and it seems to have gone away. I would always just take the disk out, wipe it with a micro fiber cloth then put it back in and it would work. And watever you do don't turn your xbox from horizontal to vertical or vertical to horizontal with a disk in
This has happened a few times to me. I was told to take off my hard drive and blow in it and stuff and then turn my xbox upside down and gently tap on it to get dust off of the laser. It sounds stupid but it has worked every time for me.
there might be a problem with laser. It happened all the time with the big old ps2, my dad would open it up and clean it out. This is risky with 360 because of warranty issues
Happens everyday to me i fucking hate it. It takes 20 min to get a game to play some time so i finally downloaded mw2 to my harddrive thinking it would help but it doesnt. I figured out the reason it does this is because when you close the tray the disk is sussposed to start spinning but doesnt or atleast thats why myn does it. I smack the shit out of it and try to get it to work but im not sure it helps it just plays after the 15th or 20th try
