booster straps?

Is it actually creating a fit problem or is it purely aesthetic?   If it's not creating a problem, I wouldn't be too worried about it, especially since your pants should cover it up while skiing.  Unless you're rocking tight jeans tucked into it, then it might look weird.... but it will anyway.

Definitely get a few days on your new boot, I think you'll find it to break in and the gap to lessen. 

are you talking about the gap by your toes? in front of your toe cable?

i get the same thing on my dalbellos every now and then, i dont really know if it matters performance wise. but what i do is strap everything down to the tightness i want, flex a few times, then i un-buckle them all and push down where your booster/power strap is and the tongue will slide downish and fill that little gap, then i buckle the toe one first, then ankle, then top. it usually stays in place a little better after that. i find that a little less snow gets in your boots, when you get the tongue a little more flush.

oh, I thought that you were referring to the gap between the tongue and liner at the top of your boot.  my bad. 

FT uses one tongue for two shell sizes, so if you fall on the larger shell you could always get the next size up in tongues.  It will take up more space on your shell and won't mess up cable alignment or anything.  Seth does this to have more shin support/coverage over his liners.  Obviously, you can't go up too many sizes but you get the idea.

Just to clarify, the gap is at the bottom of the tongue between the boot and the tongue.

i know exactly what your talking about, happens on my FTs too. It is just because when you tighten down all the cables the tongue is being pulled away from the front of the boot which causes the gap. its totally natural and nothing to worry about.
