Replying to Line Chronic center mounting...
Sorry if a lot of people have been asking about this. Ive searched again again, and keep reading the same threads and they really don't give me a clear enough answer so sorry is this is a completely repeat thread but i had to ask. Anyway, question is...Ive read alot about mounting chronics, ive heard everything from -1.5, 2.. as the "sweet spot", 3, and so on till 6 obviously. (if you know the skis)
I just picked mine up, rode them twice at rec(6) and i love em...but i can tell that id be handling rails a lot better mounted closer to center. I'm about a 80% park 20% mountain skier...but that sorta fluctuates depending on the mountain i'm at seeing how i travel the east coast alot and see different mountains bla bla, i'm sure you know how it is if you enjoy the mountain outside the park...some days i just wanna ride mountain and some days i wanna be in the park...also ive never rideing a true center but im confident with my skiing ability. Anyway sorry to get off topic but by first hand account can anyone tell me if mounting true center going to seriously impair my carving and what not in situations outside the park, seeing how chronics are not symmetrical in dimension, just in flex? Also, it would be cool to hear a couple opinions about other mounting spots other then center.
Thanks a lot, hopefully this will clear this up once any for all for everyone because Ive heard alot of mixed opinions on this.
