Importing problem

i took my gopro hd for the first time skiing today and felt like i got some cool shots, but when i uploaded it to imovie(on my mac) most of the clips were cut off half way through... anyone got any idea what i should do or whats wrong?

I had no problem on my MBP with GoPro clips in imovie etc....   they're just big files and things take a while...

Used it for the first time the other day and holy sh*t it's sooooo much fun... the footage is such good qaulity...  especially in Good light....
