Does sony vegas work well with sony handycams?

I have the sony handycam dcr-sx41. i want to get a good editing software, so does anyone know if they work well together? or are there any other softwares that work well with the handycams too?

*no actually sony made a program that doesn't work with the cameras that they make too. They really don't want people to use both of their products. Instead they would rather have people buy a Panasonic camera and the sony software.

YES, OF COURSE IT WORKS TOGETHER.

thats like asking if OS X will work well on a Mac Laptop
