What is a good way to buy/make a backyard rail or box?

what is the best way to affordably get a good quality rail for my backyard setup? +k for good answers

Get ahold of the your local city hall, providing you don't like in somewhere massive. And try to get your hands on some old PVC mainline pipe that the city crews are done with. Worked for me. Its easy and large diameter pipes are so much fun!

get a 10' x 12" (or whatever width u want for a more rail box) wood...from home depot.

then get couple 2x4s and make legs. than get 1 or 2 inch PVC pipes...i think i used 1.5 and i used 6 of them on a 12inch box. super glue the pipes together (on each end and the middle) and than just screw them from the bottom. soo easy and so effective....

nevermind...i used 5 2" PVC pipes...u can see that in the first frame of the video. (its from last year thats why i forgot haha)

thank you guys. my pvc rails in the past have come apart but i think the glue along with the screws will make it stronger.

take a look at the build-a-jib 101 cult, they have numerous threads just about this kind of stuff. i think they have a how to build a pvc rail sticky up there, which sounds like just what you're looking for

And what I'm doing is getting some pvc from my Dad's place of business that they are done with, or getting some from the town. The town yard/dump whatever, may have some old culvert pipes that are pvc and other stuff to jib with like a construction barrel. That's what I had in mind.
