how do people get so much pop ?
Sorry dude a stiffer ski gives you more ollie or pop, basic physics.
And for hand rails I like to "step" on. I jump off my inside foot first lift it to get it on the rail while pushing off with my outside foot last. Its pretty standard I think most of the people I know do that, even with lips and 2s
Thats exactly what I meant. To the dude that said serious that's why I put it in " " because that's the only way I know how to explain it.
That's cool you have your preferances. I just enjoy skiing and hitting urban jibs with my buds because it's a great way to have fun and avoid steep lift ticket prices. So next time I'm out with my buds I'll make sure we all look like and dress how the people that determine what "cool" is think we should. Once we do that, we will then switch our personal ski styles to appease these people as well; because doing your own thing your own way and having fun is so played these days! This way next time someone looking to branch out into another aspect of skiing (aka urban) and wants advice, I can tell him exactly how to do it so they don't fuck it up and look "sloppy and wack" either.
Funny part is, is I learned how to ollie on first but didn't like it espesh when your getting pull whipped in and have major speed issues because we never have had a drop in ramp. I also prefer the step on to the ollie because I can get on the jib way slower and have time to set up clean sw ups and spin outs, which I think over all looks better. Do which ever one or both if you like to just have fun.
The other funny thing is, you and Brownson both came down on me and assumed all I could do was step on. I can also, sw lip, ollie, nollie and 2 on, but I didn't think the was the place to brag but more a place to help a kid out. One of my faves is actually nollie lip, because I find its smooth and sets up my frontside spins. That's more then I could probably say for you. I mean if you don't like ceratin things that's cool, but you don't have to put someone down for it. For example I don't put down people for say, learning tricks into foam pits (spesh easy ones like rodeos and corks). Even tho I think foam pits are a bit pussy, they are a great way to learn tricks that you're scared of doing to snow. I'll still give the person props when they finally stomp it. So if you don't like doing step ons then don't, but if you still have the need to force your oppinion on people then you better put up or shut up (show us a video or something of how good and stylish you are on urban rails (not urban style in the terrain park) if your not intelligent enough to get what I mean). Quite frankly I think your in the same postion as the kids that say dub corks are gay beause they can't do them.
Yes I realize it's stupid and almost pointless to call someone out on newschoolers and I hate doing it but, I can't stand the attitude some kids have in skiing these days anymore. Even good riders hating on people for learning or doing something different.
