Kicked out of your home mountain

how have you been kicked out of your home mountain or ticket clipped whatever. i just got kicked for jumpin off the exit platform of a lift not in use.

in early season we were jibbing a lift platform... it was sweet and ski po rolled by several times and they didnt say shit.
that sucks for you that you got it pulled then.

BUT if you get kicked out you can try to get a new season pass under a fake name (if you have the money and its worth it to you) you can try to talk to management and reason with them, write them an apology letter and promise to never be a bad boy again. they might let you off with a 2 week suspensions or something. alot of times a patroller who is just power hungry and crazy might pull your pass just because hes a dick, and management might recognize that.
you could also try just riding without a pass, if they catch you, run away.

in any situation, if ski po is getting on your case, run away. i know i could out-ski ever patroller at my mountain. once you get to the base, ride right to the parking lot and peace out, dont come back till the next day. maybe trade up your gear with some friends.

The ski patrol told me that i was "tagged" for doing inverts yesterday. If i get caught again they said they will take my pass.

Only times i got my pass pulled was at wachusett, for throwing snowballs and one of my friends nailed a kid in the face from the deck and they thought it was me but they just took all of our passes(it was the end of the day and we were done anyways)

Then last year at Tremblant me and my friend went into the woods that were pretty thinned out and we thought it was a glade and there was a trail sign saying shortcut pointing right to the entrance of the woods so we went into it thinking it was an actual trail and then out or nowhere this patroller started bitching at us for going into the woods and how we should know better and how he would have pulled our passes(which would suck cuz it was a 3day pass and it was the first day) but he just marked our tickets with a sharpie and signed it, which we rubbed off 5 minutes later

I got a warning at Vail for skiing too fast. There was no slow sign visible and there were faggy little rich racer kids going faster than me. Vail ski patrol hates park rats and everyone who wears baggy clothing. Beware.

At Tremblant there such bitches about being in the woods.
I started to ski a area that the trees are nice and open but it's not a run. Of course just as I pop out on to the trail their is the ski patrol they said something, but I just took off to the bottom pretending not to hear. I reach the bottom and their is 5 of these "safety prevention" people and they make a wall blocking me. I get a big talking to and they take down my pass number and suspend it for the rest of the day. Lucky for me though I got to go up the lift to the top to ski down to the south side. Just ended up skiing the North Park and half mountain cause they don't check your passes on those lifts.

even shane mcconkey got the boot from JH, so it happens to everyone.  They banned him for pushing backcountry rights, which is pretty ridiculous.  When people jump from lifts, the bouncing cable could de-rail, so thats legitimate reason for patrol to be pissed.  but again, its not that hard not to get caught

i love tree skiing as much as the next person, but as we all have been hearing this season, people have been bying recently from hitting trees. this happens even on the trail, and they might just be trying as hard as they can to prevent a lawsuit since it might have happenned in the past their.

In 2004 worked as a ski instructor, skipped work one day late in the year, went skiing instead, to hide from my boss I switched jackets, that jacket had another kids pass, thus at the end of the day, they got me at the bottom, i was escorted off the property for alleged theft of resort services. That evening I had a conference call with the ski area president, ski school director, and the kid i switched jackets with.
in the end I was able to get a pass next season, skied all year, and stayed out of trouble.

its happened so many times to get ski patrollersto tell us we were gonna get our pass clipped cause we were in a closed trail or whatever, but it never happened, the most i had was a week long ban, but i went the next week and had no problems with the people scanning our tickets, patrols are teasee and thats it most of the time.

I've had my pass clipped multiple times. Once it was banned for 2 weeks because ski patrol caught us as we were about to drop in on an out of bounds zone. My home mountain unfortunately isn't on public land, it's privately owned, so they can and will stop you for going out of bounds.

I'm so happy that my home mountain is on the west coast, where they don't give a fuck if you go in the trees. Runs can be closed, but if it doesn't have a rope or signage, it's fair game. Alpine Meadows even lets you go out of bounds whenever you want, wherever you want, as long as you don't have to go through a closed area to get there.

Never been kicked or had my pass pulled, but I've been pulled over a few times for hauling ass. I guess straightlining 2000 vertical feet doesn't go over too well... and its news to me every single time.

unless you were in vermont or another state where there is an actual law about putting the safety bar down, ski patrol cant do shit if you dont put it down. its a safety bar, a precaution technically, and some resorts dont even have them anyway.

friend of mine got kicked out for life at smuggs like 3 different times, even had legit police called on him once as well. still skied there buuunches for a few more years afterwards. granted this was at smuggs and not some electronic ticket scanning monster resort

some liftie was trying to tell me to ride with this lone snowboarder( two person lift) and i was like no im riding with my friend and hes like well i will get your pass pulled. So gay but i guess thats what happens when your in the midwest

oh hell yeah.  Growing up riding Schweitzer I was always in trouble with ski patrol.  My only saving grace was that my dad used to be on patrol there back in the day so I would get off sometimes.

But my last year there I had my pass withheld enough times I almost got a permanent ban.  There is the backside which if you know how patrol does there bomb runs you can poach and get run after run and take the same exit not getting caught.  I was a little to stoked and missed the exit resulting in a lost pass for a while.

well we almost got our passes pulled for skiing on a not ready slope like there was some hard icy balls on the slope. we were dumb enough to go there.. note that we were some dumb gaperkids :D so we skied the slope like 3 times. we were skiing it down again  and some ski resort staff guy came with his snowmobile up the hill. he yelled something like this to my friend: " if you still ski here, i will throw your passes to hell! and you might get hit by a snowmobile or a snowcat, THEN THE BLOOD SPLASHES AND THE  FUNERAL CAR COMES!!!!!" :DD thats it

my pass almost got pulled at mt snow.  i was skiing a glade that was technically "closed" because it had a rope over it.  i ducked the rope and it was amazing.  its bullshit they almost pulled my pass though cuz on the website, they say all tree trails are "open" at all times and not maintained by ski patrol.

I've never ever had a problem with patrol. Most likely because I obey area closures. The mountains I have skied at for extended periods of time in my life care more about the safety of people, and not people doing stupid shit, such as avalanche control.

Sounds like there are a few of you that deserve to have had your passes clipped.

i've never had mine pulled, the closest i've come was once me and a couple friends were at sunday river and we were hiking up to these cliff/ledge things beneath one of the lifts, i think it's the old one kinda near barker peak, but not sure. anyway, we were hiking up to hit them and someone on the lift must have told the guy at the top or something, and two ski patrol guys showed up. the guy was pretty cool about it though, he said he always wanted to hit it but couldn't, and he told us where some other ones were that we were allowed to hit. if you're reasonable and talk with respect to the ski patrol guy, in the end it probably won't be that bad

I got a free pass to Snoqualmie last year for teaching adaptive skiing there, but one day I went up there for Pretzels & Polish Donuts and it didn't work. I went up to the admin office and this lady straight up accused me of using someone else's pass, or letting someone else use mine. I had two passes to my name because I paid for one and got it canceled before I got my free one, but other than that I have no idea what's going on. I said that there must be a computer problem, but she says "computers don't have problems". So I am interrogated and tell her that I have one pass and I have no idea what she's talking about, and she repeatedly says that I'm lying and is threatening all sorts of consequences and whatnot for my alleged transgression. It takes me five tries to get her to call my dad to work the situation out, and initially she flat out refuses to call. She eventually does only because I refuse to talk to her any further until she does. Apparently my dad worked some magic because five minutes later I was free. I heard some faint yelling into the phone and she started saying "I'm sorry sir" quite a few times and her facial expression clearly showed nervousness. Then I got to go out and shred, and got some money towards lunch or something like that, so it all worked out okay.

I've built jumps in bounds and out of bounds and never had any trouble. We ride five to a chair sometimes on the quad at our mountain and never get in trouble either. But one time I did get kicked off the magic carpet up to the lodge because I went on it switch...

me and my friend cameron got our passes pulled for 3+ weeks once.
we were fallowing the Warren Miller crew on a line that they hit earlier that day.
there were no ropes and the only sign was a, danger cliff area.
so we skipped passed the sign and dove into the line.
it was so sick, the snow was great and everything!
then when we got back to the trail, ski patrol were waiting for us.
they said that they were avelanch bombing the area. this never happended the whole day..
so we ended up building a kicker down by the parking lot and learned front flips.
i was pretty bummed about the whole thing. but the experience was fun!

so once my friend jumped the rope to get into the mini park and as he did a ski patroller skied over to him and was like hey, you can't do that! so he was like oh i'm sorry i won't ever again that's my fault and the sp was like let me see your pass and right when he said that my friend pushed over the ski patrolmen and started skiing. kind of a dick move but i was crying i was laughing so hard. he skied to the very bottom with the ski patrolmen right behind him...then he went to the parking lot and went into one of his friends condo and they never found him lol.

What you guys aren't allowed out of the ski patroled areas??  What the hell? Surely they aren't in charge outside of their resort so it's a free for all.  If you screw your self up you can hardly blame anyone except yourself.  Damn i feel for you guys over in N. America!!  Most of those storiesw are rediculous and sound like they're just power tripping on your asses.

Well i basically got put in "Time Out" and had my season pass taken away for two hours because i did a frontflip off a headwall and stomped it. When i got my pass back the ski patrol told me it was a nice frontflip just dont do it again.  Then i got kicked out for 5 days for allegedly stealing a lift ticket.  I no longer ski at this mountain haha big boulder all the way
