Replying to Families during xmas time

i have divorced parents. and im not here to whine about THAT. i'm way glad they're not together anymore and they're both remarried blah blah blah. Things have been fine, considering i choose where i want to live and im able to make my own decisions. But around xmas time, i feel like everyone in my family goes rabid. My parents seem to purposely make their get-togethers on the same fucking day, just to see who i'm going to "choose" to spend christmas with. idk this year has been particularly bad, and i just feel like it's the total opposite of the "spirit of xmas" and all that. anyone else dying for the holidays to be OVER?
